WHO WE ARE

OUR SCHOOL

Abbeville Christian Academy (ACA) is a coeducational independent college preparatory school of approximately 265 students in grades K2 – 12. It is governed by an elected Board of Directors of 12, whose members represent the various constituencies of the school as well as the community. ACA is an independent, non-profit, Christian based school that admits students of all races, nationalities, creeds and socioeconomic backgrounds.

OUR MISSION

Abbeville Christian Academy was created to provide a Christian environment in which to develop well-educated, well- disciplined students with positive self-esteem, a sense of fair play, and the leadership skills needed for the 21st century. We seek to develop students’ character, spiritual values, intellect, patriotism, leadership and individuality. Parental support and participation are vital to our success.

OUR MOTTO

“As a student at ACA, I will strive to be honest in thought and deed; to be friendly and helpful to schoolmates and teachers; to promote clean, wholesome thought and speech; to take care of school property; to encourage and foster proper conduct at all
school activities; to maintain a Christian attitude in my dealings with others; to work toward making school a pleasant place in which to prepare myself for life.”

OUR PRAYER

Heavenly Father, we seek your guidance today at Abbeville Christian Academy. Grant us the strength to face each challenge with resilience, the courage to stand up for what is right, determination in our studies, and the wisdom to make thoughtful decisions. May our faith in You strengthen each day as You guide us to be the best versions of ourselves,
honoring You in all we do. Amen.

We recite these pledges daily at the beginning of the day together.

Early Childhood & Elementary (K2 – 5th Grade): ABEKA Foundation

At Abbeville Christian Academy, students in K2 through 5th grade build a strong academic and spiritual foundation using the ABEKA curriculum. Our program emphasizes literacy, numeracy, and biblical principles, ensuring children develop core skills in reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies. Hands-on activities, engaging stories, and interactive lessons nurture curiosity, creativity, and a love for
learning. Character development, work habits, and early problem-solving skills are integrated into every subject, preparing students for a smooth transition into more rigorous academics.

Middle School – 7th and 8th Grades: Developing Mature Thinking and Retention

In 7th and 8th grades, the curriculum focuses on developing mature thinking, strong retention, and problem-solving skills. Students are challenged with increasingly complex texts, scientific inquiry, advanced mathematics, and historical analysis. Lessons emphasize reasoning, logic, and the ability to synthesize information across subjects. Students are guided to take ownership of their learning, set personal academic goals, and develop habits that will support lifelong learning. Character development, leadership, and spiritual growth continue to be central to the educational experience.

High School – 9th through 12th Grades: Preparing for Collegiate Success

From 9th through 12th grade, the curriculum is designed to equip students with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to excel at the collegiate level and beyond. Students engage in advanced coursework in mathematics, science, literature, social studies, and elective subjects, emphasizing critical thinking, research, and academic writing. College preparatory skills, including time management, study strategies, test preparation, and independent research, are integrated into daily learning. Spiritual and character development remains foundational, ensuring students graduate not only academically prepared but also morally and ethically grounded.
